True Blue Gala 2025
My father, Dr Daniel Lane, was diagnosed with MND in March 2020 and bravely fought it until his passing in February 2023. His fight was marked with resilience and courage. Having been just over a year since losing my dad to MND, the painful memory of his suffering hasn’t eased. This is why I decided to host the True Blue Gala, with the aim of raising awareness and support for the research into a cure so that no other person or family has to endure this disease.
In honour of my father, my committee and I are holding the True Blue Gala, a black-tie dinner at The Royal Randwick, offering guests a chance to enjoy a gourmet meal while supporting the cause. Guests can expect a memorable night filled with entertainment, heartfelt speeches, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact. All profits from the gala, including the silent auction, will be donated directly to FightMND, which is celebrating 10 years of advocating for increased funding and awareness, having invested close to $100 million in research and care initiatives over the last decade.
